Gobi road to Xia

The route from the Orkhon and Tula steppe south across the Gobi to the Tangut border of the Xia empire (the Alxa edge around 41 N, 104 E; the Heishui command and the Etsina delta lie beyond the sheet).

Halts are at wells and in ravines below the Gurvan Saikhan. No halt is named in any source of 1200; the road is implied by the older tradition that Jakha Gambu sheltered with the Tanguts (not pinned) and by the Kereyit's place on the Gobi caravan roads; both are inferences.
