Town · Guge, Purang and Maryul: the royal houses of the west · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Basgo

Wikipedia says only that Basgo was once an important cultural and political centre and is frequently mentioned in the Ladakhi chronicles; the page gives no dates.

Later sources make it the seat of Lower Ladakh; nothing places a lord here in 1200, and the standing fort and temples are of later centuries (not checked).
