An open beach on the sheltered western side of Lombok and the landing for anything crossing from Bali (the campaign board).
Nothing written in 1200 says who lived behind it; the Sasak enter the record much later. The Babad Lombok names a kingdom of Pamatan on the island destroyed in 1257 (en.wikipedia); its site and ruler are not known.
