A small family of free lords in the middle Savinja (Sann) valley of Lower Styria, holding the castle of Sannegg (Žovnek) above Braslovče.
In 1200 they are modest local lords; their rise to the counts of Cilli comes more than a century later. Gebhard II, on record from 1173 to 1227, is lord on 1 January 1200.
