Chief of Samudra

A river mouth with a rice plain behind it.

The English Wikipedia article on Samudera Pasai gives 1267 as the conventional foundation, Malik al-Salih's tomb at 696 AH (about 1297), and, as the earliest dated Muslim stone of North Aceh, the grave of Ibnu Mahmud at Leubok Tuwe, 622 AH (1226). Nothing in 1200 names a ruler; the sultanate is the future.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: Thin: later lists and the campaign board's inference.

"The campaign board" is OMNIA's working map. These notes record where its earlier claims were checked against the sources.

On the map: No drawn parts: the port's land is on its town record.
