Ajayasimha

The ravine country of the Yamuna and Chambal round Etawah and Chandawar suits local chiefs and beats regular cavalry.

A nephew of the dead king appears to have taken it. The Minhaj story of an Iltutmish victory over a ruler of Chandawar is a later event or an undated one; we treat Ajayasimha as holding the ravines on 1 January 1200 with a status that is not proved.
