Lanzarote

The people of Lanzarote, the Majos, herders of goats and growers of barley on a dry volcanic island, living in stone houses and caves.

Later accounts give the island a single ruler (the line remembered in the fifteenth century goes back to Zonzamas, who is placed much later than 1200). No outsider has landed in 1200 as far as is known.
