Ceklis

Ceklis is the largest Curonian land, about 1,500 square kilometres, west of the Venta in what is now Samogitia up to the Latvian border: the country of Skuodas, Mosėdis, Salantai, Kartena and Gargždai, with the hillfort of Apuolė.

It borders the Samogitians to the east. On 1 January 1200 it is free and pagan.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: Land name and rough position from Rimbert's Life of Ansgar and the 13th-century documents as summarised by en.wikipedia; bounds are reconstructions. Nothing is recorded for 1200.

On the map: The eastern edge toward the Samogitians (lit) is a guess; Plungė may have been Samogitian.
