Toyuq caves

Cave temples and cells cut into the gorge of the Toyuq stream east of Gaochang, in use from the 5th century into the Uyghur age.

In 1200 they are Buddhist; the later Muslim pilgrimage to the cave of the Seven Sleepers does not exist yet.
