The oldest surviving Vietnamese history, a century older than the Complete Annals and in places fuller for the Ly dynasty, which fills its second and third books. For Ly Cao Tong's reign it gives the same risings, floods and famines of 1198 to 1200 with some extra names and dates, the court's officers, and the Cham and Khmer embassies. The family name Ly is written Nguyen throughout to avoid a Tran taboo. The text survived only in China, in the Siku quanshu, and was unknown in Vietnam until modern times.
