The official history of the Southern Song, which ruled from Lin'an (Hangzhou) in 1200. The annals of Ningzong (juan 37 to 40; the Qingyuan era, 1195 to 1200, falls in juan 37) record the court month by month: the ascendancy of Han Tuozhou, the proscription of the 'false learning' of Zhu Xi's school from 1196, the death of Zhu Xi on 23 April 1200, the death of Empress Han in 1200, embassies to and from the Jin, floods and famine relief, and appointments on the Sichuan and Huai frontiers. The biographies (Han Tuozhou in juan 474, Zhu Xi in juan 429, Zhao Ruyu in juan 392) and the treatises on the army, finance and the examinations fill out the state in 1200. Compiled hastily and inclined against Han Tuozhou, but the standard account.
