A history of the Great Seljuks from their origins to the death of the last sultan Toghril III in 1194, begun at Hamadan and finished for Kaykhusraw of Rum when the author moved to Anatolia. For 1200 it supplies the background to western Persia: the Eldiguzid atabegs of Azerbaijan, the Khwarazmian conquest of Iraq-i Ajam in 1194, the caliph al-Nasir's recovery of Iraq, and the end of Seljuk rule, and its preface reflects the state of Rum under Rukn al-Din Sulayman and the exile of Kaykhusraw. The author is a courtier and copies Nishapuri's Saljuqnama for the earlier parts.
