The Portuguese annals in one volume. The Annals of King Afonso and the Chronica Gothorum stop in 1184 and 1185 with the Almohad siege of Santarem, so for 1200 the witness is the Coimbra chronicle, a bare list of dates: Sancho I's reign, the deaths of bishops and nobles, the losses to the Almohads in 1190 and 1191, and the foundation of towns. Thin for the year, which is the truth about Portuguese narrative sources before the 1200s; the diplomatic volumes of the same series carry Sancho I's charters.
