A Khwarazmian secretary's life of the last Khwarazmshah. Its opening chapters recapitulate the dynasty: Tekish's death in 1200, Ala al-Din Muhammad's accession and his campaigns against the Ghurids and the Qara Khitai, the character of the queen mother Terken Khatun and her Kangli kin, and the organisation of the Khwarazmian court and army. Written from inside the dynasty by a man from Nasa in Khurasan, it corrects Juvayni on some names and offices but is brief on the years before 1218.
