A Jin government compilation presented in 1195, so a document of the Zhangzong court as it stood five years before 1200: imperial titles and honours, ancestral temple rites, the enthronement and audience ceremonies, the suburban sacrifices, the reception of Song, Xia and Goryeo envoys, court dress and seals, each with the dated precedents on which it rested. Dry and technical, but contemporary and official, and the best witness to how the Jin court presented itself to its subjects and its neighbours in the year 1200.
