The register of San Pietro di Silki

A monastic register of lands, serfs, gifts and lawsuits in the giudicato of Torres (Logudoro), written in the vernacular. It is the kind of document that shows how the Sardinian judges ruled: the court of the judge, the pleas heard before him, the division of serfs and the holdings of the great families around 1200, in the reign of Comita of Torres. It is not a narrative; the later Libellus Judicum Turritanorum supplies the list of judges.
