The house chronicle of the Wettin foundation on the Lauterberg, sharp-tongued and well informed on Saxony, Meissen and Magdeburg. For 1200 it reports Philip's campaign into Saxony against Otto's party, Archbishop Ludolf of Magdeburg, Margrave Dietrich of Meissen and his brother-in-law Landgrave Hermann of Thuringia, Duke Bernhard of Saxony, and the affairs of Halle and the Saale valley. It is one of the best eastern German witnesses to the war's first years.
