The Munster chronicle, written in Kerry in a hand close to the events. Its entries around 1200 are short but concern the south, where the other annals are weak: the kings of Desmond and Thomond, William de Burgh's raids and castles in Limerick and Tipperary, church deaths in Lismore, Emly and Ardfert, and the first English settlement of north Kerry. Contemporary, local and sparse.
