Annals of Clonmacnoise

A midland chronicle, tied to Clonmacnoise and the kings of Meath and Connacht, surviving only in a 1627 translation. The gap of 1182 to 1199 ends just before 1200, so the entries for the year itself survive: the Connacht war, the English of Meath, and deaths in the midland churches, told with Mac Geoghegan's own glosses. Secondary to Ulster and Loch Ce, and the years are not always right.
