Kalomo mounds

The Kalomo tradition's village mounds, built up by long occupation, excavated by Fagan in the 1960s at Isamu Pati and Kalundu near Kalomo.

They show cattle-keeping farmers with a little imported glass and shell from the coast. The point marks the Kalomo area, not a particular mound. Their occupation on 1 January 1200 is not pinned.
