Bytom

A Lesser Polish castle given to Mieszko in 1177, over silver and lead ores, on the road from Silesia to Kraków.

The Lesser Poland Annals say Mieszko built Bytom in 1200; Długosz (under 1201) has its garrison raiding the Kraków land. German town law comes only in 1254.
