Barons and castellans · Commune of Arezzo · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Ubertini

The Ubertini are Arezzo's leading rural kindred, vassals of the bishop with castles on the Casentino slopes of the Pratomagno and the Alpe di Catenaia.

In 1200 they hold Chitignano (their comital seat), Gressa and Banzena near Bibbiena, Montefatucchio and Marciano; their great days, with Bishop Guglielmino Ubertini (1248-1289), are later.
