The younger Igorevichi

Igor's younger sons are in their twenties and hold no town that the sources name in 1200; they live in their father's or brother's lands.

Their mother is the sister of Vladimir Yaroslavich of Galich, the last prince of the old Galician line, who died in 1198 or 1199. That makes them his nearest kin, but in the female line, which counts for little against Roman Mstislavich, who took Galich as soon as Vladimir died. The claim will matter in 1206, when the Galician boyars, rid of Roman, call in Vladimir and Roman Igorevich; Sviatoslav takes Vladimir-Volynsky in 1205-1206 and Peremyshl later; in September 1211 the boyars hang Roman, Sviatoslav and Rostislav.
