Western Darfur hills

The hill and plain farmers of the far west of Darfur round later Geneina, along the border with the Ouaddai: the Masalit and their neighbours (Erenga, Sinyar, Tama on the Sudan side).

Nothing is written about them before the later sultanates; they are drawn from their later homelands.
