Gbagyi and southern Kaduna peoples

South and south-west of Zazzau lived the Gbagyi (called Gwari by the Hausa, one of the Banza Bakwai of the legend) and, to the south-east, the peoples of the southern Kaduna basin (the later Atyap, Bajju, Kadara and Koro), farming in village communities under their own heads, later the main targets of Zazzau's slave raids.

Nothing is written of them for 1200; south of about 9.8 N the Yoruba-Benin part of this sheet continues.
