Al Mira

The southern branch of the Banu Rabi'a, who in the late twelfth or early thirteenth century drove their Al Fadl cousins out of the Hauran (Tritton).

In Mamluk times they dominate the southern Syrian tribes from the Jawlan southward; for 1200 their range can only be placed on the desert edge of the Hauran, the Harra and the Azraq basin, between the farmland of Bosra and Salkhad and the open desert.
