The mangrove, laterite and forest country on the lower Subarnarekha where the Sena realm (Tamralipti coast, Midnapore) meets the Ganga corridor (Balasore and Remuna).
The campaign board marks it "contested" and the Sena plates claim Kalinga; the Ganga corridor claims north to the river. No raid, battle or treaty between the two is recorded in the 1190s in anything we opened, so the belt is drawn as an empty claim frontier, not a war zone.
How things stand that morning
Contested by claim, quiet in fact. The ford at the Subarnarekha is a toll point; the salt pans and mangrove are empty ground.
Who raids
No one that we can show. The last recorded campaign is not known to me.
Where the sources disagree
- The brief asks for the Sena and Eastern Ganga frontier on the Subarnarekha "only where the evidence supports" a belt. The evidence supports a contested frontier, not raiding; the campaign can drop the part.
Evidence: The campaign board entry only; no source reports fighting.
"The campaign board" is OMNIA's working map. These notes record where its earlier claims were checked against the sources.
On the map: A thin strip on the river; there is no fortress to anchor either side.
