Edge of Ulster

The line of the lower Bann from Coleraine to Lough Neagh and the land between Lough Neagh, Armagh and Newry: the frontier between de Courcy's Ulster and the Cenel nEogain and Airgialla.

In 1199 de Courcy raided Tir Eogain three times and was beaten at Donaghmore, and Aed Ua Neill's ships raided Larne; Armagh was plundered by the Meath English with Mac Duinn Shleibe.
